Plasticine Man was written to introduce not only this 5th dimension character to the listener, but to also set up the Sci-Fi story of Plasticine Man s life as told through the music in this album.
The pivotal lyric woke in your waking, and you re sleepy for mine can be explained as follows: Where he comes from, (5th dimension Spectron), reality is what Earthlings would consider a dream. On the same token, his dreams would be what Earthlings would consider reality. Plasticine Man committed suicide, (in his world), by ingesting a toxic poison, as foretold in Faces on the Wall . Before he died he began to Astrotrip. (or Astroplane) Eram, not liking Plasticine, locked all of the portals, and re-entry holes, to keep Plasticine s life spirit far away from Spectron with no hopes for return. Plasticine later awoke to find that not only was he not dead, but that he had become trapped in our 4th dimension existence by his nemesis Eram. Plasticine Man is foreign to our powerless existence, and describes our world as an illusion laced with sound . He suggests that sounds and music are the only truths that Earthlings possess.
